Comparison of curative effect of different operative methods in treatment of children with mixed esophageal hernia

Abstract:Objective To compare the therapeutic effect of different operative methods in the treatment of children with mixed esophageal hernia.Methods Retrospectively analyzed the documents of our hospital from June 2007 to June 2014, Ages from 2 months to 63 months, 23 males and 16 females.They were preoperative diagnosed by upper gastrointestinal angiography, All of whom were surgeried by transthoracic with 20 cases of Fundoplication group ( hiatal repair +fundoplica-tion +gastric fixation) and 19 cases of no fundoplication group ( hiatal repair +His corner reinforcement ) .Results 2 groups of patients were successful surgery, no surgical deaths.The unfolded gastric bleeding and hospitalization time were less than the fundoplication group mean operative time ( t =3.07, t =3.09, t =3.69, P <0.05);postoperative gastroesophageal reflux, recurrent vomiting, the incidence rate showed no significant difference (χ2 =0.975,χ2 =2.000,χ2 =0.676, P >0.05);1.5-8.5 years follow-up fundoplication, group 2 cases of recurrence, 2 cases of short-term postoperative vomiting, long-term intermittent vomiting in 1 cases;2 cases of gastric fundus unfolded within 3 months of postoperative vomiting.There were no obvious complications, good food and growth and development.Conclusion The mixed type of thoracic esophageal e-sophageal hiatal repair reinforcement surgery +His angle smaller hiatal hernia curative effect is satisfactory, surgical trauma than traditional fundoplication, for the specific needs of transthoracic surgery in a further attempt.
