Clinic results and changes in CRP, TNF-α, IL-6 of patients with hand foot and mouth disease in treatment with riba-virin and gamma globulin

Abstract：Objective To investigate the effect of ribavirin combined with gamma globulin protein in the treatment of hand foot mouth disease and its impact on the level of C-reactive protein (CRP), tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) and inter-leukin (IL-6) etc..Methods Selected 76 cases of hand foot mouth disease in children with hand , foot and mouth disease in the Department of infectious diseases , Chengdu Public Health Clinic from November 2014 to November 2015, according to the random number table method , they were divided into observation group of 38 cases and control group of 38 cases.2 groups of patients were given nutritional support , antipyretic , maintain water electrolyte and acid-base balance and other symptomatic treatment.The control group based on the conventional treatment , used of Ribavirin and Glucose Injection 15 mg/kg, intrave-nous drip, once a day;the observation group based on the treatment in the control group , also used gamma globulin in 500 mg/kg, once a day;2 groups of children with continuous application of 3 days.The clinical effects of the 2 groups were com-pared before and after treatment , the improvement of clinical symptoms and the changes of CRP , TNF-α, IL-6 and CK, CK-MB levels were compared.Results Difference was statistically significant (χ2 =3.934, P <0.05) after treatment in obser-vation group, the total effective rate was 97.4% (37/38), which was significantly higher than that of control group was 84.2%(32/38);and compared to the control group , after treatment, observation group's temperature was restored to normal time, rash subsided time, oral ulcer recovery time, white blood cell recovery time was significantly shorter , CRP, TNF-α, IL-6, CK, CK-MB levels decreased significantly , the difference between the two groups has statistical significance ( P <0.05);patients in 2 group did not occur adverse drug reactions .Conclusion Ribavirin combined with gamma globulin protein in the treatment of hand , foot and mouth disease in children curative effect , can significantly reduce the level of inflammatory fac-tors, improve the clinical symptoms , it is worth clinical promotion .
