Abstract:Objective To analyze the impact of cyclophosphamide on serum cystatin C ( Cys C ) , homocysteine (Hcy) and chemokine ligand 16 (CXCL16) in patients with lupus nephritis(LN).Methods From January 2011 to June 2014, 86 patients with LN were treated with conventional therapy and cyclophosphamide.CysC, Hcy and CXCL16 levels were observed before and after treatment, and analyzed the positive rate of CysC, Hcy and CXCL16 and its clinical efficacy and safety. Results Compared with before treatment, after treatment patients'CysC, Hcy and CXCL16 levels were significantly improved ( P <0.01); different types of LN were difference significantly ( P <0.01), which type IV were significantly higher than that of type III, type V ( P <0.01), and type III was significantly higher than that of type V ( P <0.01).The follow-up results showed that 22 patients died (25.58%) , and Cys C, Hcy, CXCL16 were decreased along with patients sur-vival time increased ( P <0.01);all patients'pathological results were positive, CXCL16 test results were positive in 61 ca-ses (70.93%), which was significantly higher than that of CysC (48 cases,55.81%) and Hcy (50 cases,58.14%), the difference was statistically significant (χ2 =12.49, P <0.05).The total effective rate of clinical treatment in patients with LN was 93.02%(80/86), and there were no adverse reactions or fatal adverse reactions happened. Conclusion Cyclophos-phamide can effectively improve LN patients'Cys C, Hcy and CXCL16 levels, the total effective rate of clinical treatment is high, the safety is good, it is worth further promotion.
