Expressions and significances of T type Cav3.1 and Cav3.2 in cervical cancer tissue

Abstract：Objective To explore the expressions of T type Ca 2+channels Cav3.1 and Cav3.2 in cervical cancer and the relationships with clinical and pathological characteristics .Methods From June 2012 to December 2014, 74 cases of pa-tients, according to hysterectomy and pathologically diagnosed cervical cancer were enrolled as the cancer group , same period, 74 patients with internal uterine fibroids and received hysterectomy enrolled as the control group , specimens taken from surgery were stained with the SP immunity staining in the two groups to observe the relationship between T -type calcium channel Cav 3. 1, Cav3.2 positive expression ,and their relationship with clinicopathological features .Results Cervical cancer ’ s positive ex-pression rate of Cav3.1 and Cav3.2 (94.59%, 90.54%) were significantly higher than control group (12.16%, 14.86%), the difference was statistically significant (χ2 =101.029,χ2 =85.005, P <0.01);Cav3.1, Cav3.2 protein expression did not related to patient age, duration, pathological type, tumor size (Cav3.1:χ2 =2.381,χ2 =1.782,χ2 =0.982,χ2 =0.338, P >0.05;Cav3.2:χ2 =0.773,χ2 =0.673,χ2 =0.862,χ2 =0.762, P >0.05);but correlated to clinical stage , cell differ-entiation, lymph node metastasis (Cav3.1:χ2 =5.336,χ2 =6.772,χ2 =16.882, P <0.01; Cav3.2:χ2 =10.934,χ2 =12.762,χ2 =6.542, P <0.01).Conclusion The expression of Cav3.1 and Cav3.2 in cervical cancer patients were in-creased, and the expression of T type Ca 2+channels Cav3.1 and Cav3.2 might be a therapeutic target for cervical cancer and molecular markers for tumor detection .
