Abstract:Objective To investigate the expression and clinical significance of autophagy related protein Beclin 1 and LC3 in colon cancer tissues .Methods Eighty cases of colon cancer patients were collected from January 2011 to January 2014 , 80 cases of colon cancer tissues and corresponding normal tissues were collected .The expression of autophagy related proteins LC3 and Beclin1 in colon cancer and normal colon tissues were detected by immunohistochemical method , and the re-lationship between protein Beclin1 and LC3 and age, differentiation, TNM stage and lymph node metastasis were analyzed .Re-sults Positive expression rate of Beclin1 in colon carcinoma and normal colon tissue were 33.8%(27/80) and 73.8%(59/80), LC3 positive expression rate was 22.5%(18 /80), 68.8%(55 /80), Beclin1 and LC3 positive expression in colon cancer rate was significantly lower than that in normal colon tissue ( P <0.01).Different age, degree of cancer tissue’s Bec-lin1 and LC3 expression had no statistical significance differences ( P >0.05), and different TNM staging ( P <0.01) and lymph node transfer in the colorectal cancer tissue ’ s Beclin1 and LC3 expression showed statistically significant differences (P <0.01).Conclusion Low expression of autophagy related proteins Beclin 1 and LC3 may be related to the development and prognosis of colon cancer .
