Metabolic characteristics of gout patients with glucose metabolism disorders

Abstract：Objective To investigate the metabolic characteristics of patients with gout combined with glucose metabo -lism disorders.Methods From January 2013 to March 2014, 117 cases of gout were collected , according to the glucose metabo-lism, they were divided into glucose tolerance normal group (39 cases), glucose tolerance impaired group (44 cases), diabetes group (34 cases), the general information and related indexes of the 3 groups were compared and analyzed .Results Compari-son of BMI, SBP,DBP,TG, TC, LDL-C level:glucose tolerance normal group <glucose tolerance impaired group <group of diabetic patients ( P <0.05, P <0.01);among the 3 groups, UA value’ difference showed no statistical significance ( P >0.05).Glucose tolerance normal group’s FPG, HbA1c, 2hPG, FINS, 2hINS, CRP and HOMA-IR value were lower than the glucose tolerance impaired group and diabetes group , ISI, HOMA-βvalues were higher than glucose tolerance impaired group and diabetes group ( P <0.05, P <0.01);impaired glucose tolerance group’s FPG, HbA1c,2hPG, FINS, 2hINS, CRP value were significantly lower than that of diabetic group ,HOMA-βvalue was significantly higher than that in the diabetic group ( P <0.05).Through the Pearson's linear correlation analysis , gout patients’ blood TC, TG, SBP, DBP, LDL-C levels were signifi-cantly negative correlated with ISI ( r =-0.228, r =-0.239, r =-0.296, r =-0.273, r =-0.302, P <0.05), and sig-nificant positive correlated with HDL-C ( r =0.261, P <0.05), and was not obvious correlated with UA level ( r =0.014, P >0.05).Conclusion The indexes of blood lipid, blood glucose and blood pressure in patients with gout and glucose metab-olism disorder were significantly different from simple gout patients , and increased with the severity of glucose metabolism .
