Abstract:Objective To investigate the cognitive function and the expression of inflammatory factors in patients with Parkinson’s disease (PD) with chronic pain.Methods From January 2011 to June 2014, 60 patients who diagnosis of PD associated with chronic pain were enrolled as pain group, 60 cases of Parkinson's disease without chronic pain were enrolled as disease control group ( PD) and selected 60 healthy subjects as healthy control group.The cognitive function of the pain group and the PD group were evaluated and the levels of inflammatory factors were detected.Results The pain group’ s name abili-ty, delayed recall score was lower than that of PD group ( t =1.686, t =1.563, P <0.05), IL-2, IFN-γlevel is lower than the healthy control group and PD group( q =6.017, q =5.172, P <0.05), TNF-α,IL-6, IL-8 levels were higher than the PD group and healthy control group ( q =16.987, q =45.981, q =51.769, P <0.05);there was no significant correlation between disease severity and total score of MoCA ( r =0.102, P =0.109) , and negatively correlated with IL-2, IFN-γ( r =0.402, r =-0.392, P =0.015, P =0.021), and positively correlated with TNF-α, IL-6, IL-8 ( r =0.412, r =0.395, r =0.407, P =0.011, P =0.019, P =0.015).Pain group’s expression of IL-2 and IFN-γwas positively correlated (r =0.426, P =0.012),TNF-αand IL-6, IL-8, IL-6 and IL-8 expression were positively correlated ( r =0.321, r =0.297, r =0.305, P =0.021, P =0.027, P =0.023), IL-2 expression and TNF-α, IL-6,IL-8 expression were negatively related (r =-0.352, r =-0.361, r =-0.325, P =0.012, P =0.014, P =0.016), IFN-γand TNF-α, IL-6 and IL-8expression were negatively related ( r =-0.371, r =-0.365, r =-0.321, P =0.009, P =0.011, P =0.017).Conclusion PD associated with chronic pain patients has a certain degree of cognitive impairment , its pathogenesis were related with inflamma-tory markers abnormal expression, cognition, inflammatory reaction and immune imbalance may participate in the pathogenesis and progression of PD associated with chronic pain.
