Abstract:Objective To investigate the relationship between CYP2C19 gene polymorphism and helicobacter pylori ( HP) positive elderly patients with gastric cancer, also investigate the effect of genetic factors in the pathogenesis of the di-sease.Methods 150casesofaged>70yearsoldHPpositivepatientswereenrolled,accordingtowhethersufferedfromgas-tric cancer, they were divided into 2 groups, HP positive gastric cancer patients of 75 cases as the observation group, HP posi-tive without gastric cancer patients ( including gastric ulcer, chronic gastritis) of 75 cases as control group, using the MassAr-ray SNP method to detect the CYP2C19 genotyping of the 2 groups. Results Observation groups’ CYP2C19 gene type were homozygous with fast metabolism, heterozygous fast metabolism and slow metabolism, the incidence were 33.3%, 40.0%, 26.7%respectively;the control group’s incidence were 40.0%, 45.3%, 14.7%respectively, the incidence of slow meta-bolic type in the observation group was higher than the control group (χ2 =9.284, P <0.05).Conclusion CYP2C19’ s slow metabolism type increases the risk of gastric cancer in elderly patients with positive HP, regular follow-up should be strengthen.
