Clinical studies of ureteroscopy endovascular treatment of isolated renal and ureteral cancer

Abstract：Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of ureteroscopic treatment on solitary kidney ureteral carci -noma.Methods From 2007 April to 2013 April, 32 cases of solitary kidney and ureter cancer patients were enrolled as the research object, according to the operation, they were divided into 2 groups, 15 cases in the control group, received open sur-gical treatment;the observation group with 17 cases, received ureteroscopic treatment , the clinical curative effect between the 2 groups were compared .Results The total recovery rate of the control group was 60.0%, the observation group ’ s total re-covery rate was 58.8%, no significant differences between the 2 groups were found ( P >0.05);the operation time,intraope-rative bleeding volume , postoperative ambulation and duration of hospital stay of observation group were lower than control group, there were statistically significant differences between them ( P <0.05).The control group’s 1 year survival rate was 86.67%, 5 year survival rate was 66.67%;observation group’s 1 year’s survival rate was 94.12%, 5 years survival rate was 82.35%.There was significant difference between the 2 groups ( P <0.05).Conclusion The effect of ureteroscopic treatment on isolated ureteral carcinoma is satisfied , it can prolonged the survival time of patients .
