Abstract：Objective To investigate the therapeutic effect of magnesium sulfate therapy in placenta previa .Methods Selected 74 cases of maternal placenta previa for the study , they were randomly divided into observation group and control group with 37 patients in each group .Based on the combined treatment , control group was given bleeding aromatic acid , An-luoxue, vitamins K, Zhixuemin hemostatic treatment , observation group were treated with magnesium sulfate intravenously . Observe pregnancy outcomes and neonatal outcomes .Results In observation group , prenatal bleeding volume , vaginal bleed-ing to stop time was significantly shorter than the control group [(268.48 ±60.85) ml vs.(314.67 ±63.52) ml, (5.44 ± 1.34) d vs.(7.11 ±1.30) d, P <0.05] and prolonged gestation time was significantly longer than the control group [(3.76 ± 1.12) weeks vs.(2.84 ±1.04) weeks, P <0.05];observation group newborns quality higher than control group [(3.14 ± 0.48) kg vs.(2.69 ±0.32) kg, P <0.05], respiratory distress syndrome ( RDS) and the mortality rate is less than the control group (5.41%vs.21.62%during the two treatment groups, 2.70%vs.21.62%, P <0.05), 1 min Apgar score observation group was higher (9.13 ±0.57 points vs.8.11 ±0.70 points, P <0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions reveals no significant difference (5.4%vs.18.9%, P >0.05).Conclusion Maternal placenta previa expectations using magnesium therapy is feasible and magnesium help control vaginal bleeding and prolonged gestation , improve fetal prognosis.
