The clinical application of ileal annular pouch

Abstract：Objective To summarize the clinical experience of distal part of ileum pouch ring .Methods Retrospec-tive analysis clinical data of 9 cases of slow transit constipation , 7 cases of familial adenomatous polyposis , and 3 cases of sur-gical treatment of ulcerative colitis .19 patients underwent total colectomy , distal ileum ring pouch-rectal anastomosis .Postop-erative outcome and complications were observed .Results 19 cases were with successful surgery , postoperative flatus with av-erage 3.5 d, 3-6 d defecation.Patients were followed up for 6 months to 2 years, no intractable diarrhea, anastomotic leak, obstruction and other complications , results were satisfactory .Conclusion Total colectomy , distal ileum ring pouch-rectal an-astomosis are effective methods to treat of slow transit constipation , familial adenomatous polyposis and ulcerative colitis , post-operative bowel control effect are satisfied , are ideal operation style .
