Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical manifestation and diagnostic value of imaging examination in the central neurocytoma .Methods Retrospective analysis of 8 clinically and pathophysiologically proven central neurocytoma pa-tients imaging data and combined with other reports .All cases examined by plain and enhancement , both MR and CT scan were performed on 3 cases. Results 8 cases were young , all tumors were located in the lateral ventricle septum and growth across the septum, near Monro hole, tumors were of irregular shape;MR on T1WI showed iso-or low signal, T2WI showed on slightly uneven high signal , the performance characteristics of a honeycomb-like changes or loofahs and “streaks” sign, en-hanced lesions with mild to moderate enhancement , cystic no enhancement in CT scan tumor parenchyma mostly equal density and higher density , many accompanied by scattered calcification .Conclusion CT can clearly show intratumoral calcification , MR more clearly show the tumor loofahs or honeycomb-like changes in the MR appearance of central nervous system tumors have certain characteristics , for the diagnosis of central nervous system tumors has important value .
