Comparison on clinical effect of benazepril and valsartan in treating severe COPD combined with chronic pulmonary heart disease

Abstract：Objective To compare clinical efficacy of ACEI representative drug benzepril and ARS representative drug valsartan on treatment of severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease ( COPD) associated with chronic pulmonary heart disease .Methods Severe COPD with pulmonary heart disease 112 cases were randomly divided into benazepril group , valsar-tan group of 56 cases.All patients were given antibiotics, asthma, oxygen therapy, diuretics (spironolactone), cardiac treat-ment, patients in benazepril group plus benazepril tablets 2.5~5.0 mg, once a day;valsartan group were treated with valsar-tan tablets 20 ~40 mg, once a day.Course of 4 weeks.Observe the clinical efficacy of the two groups , before and after treatment in patients with lung function , CAT score, blood pressure, heart rate and adverse reactions .Results After treat-ment, benazepril group, the total effective rate (92.9%) higher than the valsartan group (71.4%, P <0.05).Compared with before treatment , after treatment with the two groups before treatment FEV 1%, FEV1/FVC were increased , the differ-ences were statistically significant (P <0.05);FVC%, but two groups of patients showed no statistically significant ( P >0.05);compared with before treatment , after treatment, the two groups CAT scores were reduced , and the benazepril group than in the valsartan group decreased more significantly ( P <0.05);and benazepril group , valsartan group after treatment in patients with low blood pressure , fast heart rate ( P <0.05);benazepril group cough 6 cases more than valsartan group 2 pa-tients (3.6%),hypotension 4 cases (7.1%) less than the valsartan group of 10 patients (17.9%), the differences were sta-tistically significant ( P <0.05).Conclusion For some severe COPD patients with pulmonary heart disease , use of ACEI therapy can achieve better results , worthy of promotion .
