Abstract:Objective To detect the therapeutic effect of diltiazem on angina after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).Methods A total of 180 patients after PCI with coronary atherosclerotic heart disease were enrolled in this analysis . All or the patients were randomly divided into diltiazem therapy group (102 patients) and non diltiazem therapy control group (78 patients). We compared the frequency and the duration of angina , the blood pressure, heart rate, myocardial oxygen con-sumption, C reactive protein ( CRP) , left ventricular function ( LVEF) and left ventricular fractional shortening ( LVFS) be-fore and after PCI on 0h, 24h, 14days and 3 months between the two groups .Results The frequency and the duration of an-gina in the therapy group were significantly lower than the control group .The systolic blood pressure , diastolic blood pressure , heart rate , myocardial oxygen consumption , and the CRP in the diltiazem therapy group were significantly lower than the con-trol group at 0h, 24h, 14 days and 3 months after PCI, and the levels of LVEF and LVFS were significantly higher than the control group ( P <0.05).Both two groups had no adverse reaction .Conclusion Diltiazem can significantly relieve the an-gina after PCI and improve the ventricular function , it is worth to use in clinical practice .
