Factors Influencing the Scientific Output of Scientific and Technological Workers in Xizang Autonomous Region

Abstract：Scientific and technological workers are the core driving force behind regional scientific and technologi-cal development,and their research output serves as an important reflection of the effectiveness of their cultivation and governance.This study is designed based on a four-dimensional framework encompassing participation in scien-tific and technological activities,career development,living conditions and ideological trends.It conducted a survey across 716 different types of units across Xizang Autonomous Region,combining 1,011 sample data from the entire region and employing Structural Equation Modeling(SEM)for empirical study on the overall level of research out-put of scientific and technological workers in Xizang over the past five years,the quantity of four types of research output(papers,monographs,patents and awards)among senior professionals over 40,the impact of physical and mental conditions and research environment on two mediating variables(research engagement and research atti-tude),and the influence of leading and participation in research projects,environmental satisfaction and career satis-faction on research output.The findings show that the research output is primarily influenced by factors such as re-search engagement,particiption in research projects,research environment and research attitude,aiming to provide decision-making reference for the transfer and transformation of scientific and technological achievements in Xi-zang Autonomous Region.
