Analysis on Meteorological Services for a Continuous Heavy Precipitation Event

Abstract：Due to the influence of a low vortex shear line,significant precipitation occurred in Changdu from Jul.11 to 17,2023,accompanied by convective weather such as thunder and short-term heavy precipitation.This paper has analyzed the meteorological service process for the precipitation event,summarized the meteorological service experience in this event,identified the shortcomings in the work,and proposes targeted improvement measures,pro-viding reference for future meteorological services,thereby improving meteorological service capabilities and better playing the important role of meteorological services in disaster prevention and mitigation.
