Research on Carbon Emission Measurement and Influencing Factors of Transportation Sector in Xizang

Abstract：To reveal the carbon emission characteristics and influencing factors of the transportation sector in Xi-zang,this study first employed the"bottom-up approach"to estimate the carbon emission of the transportation sec-tor in Xizang from 2004 to 2023,then applied the STIRPAT model and LMDI decomposition method to analyze the driving effects and contribution of various influencing factors.The results indicated that:Freight and road transport were the primary sources of carbon emission in the transportation sector in Xizang.Carbon emission in the transpor-tation sector in Xizang exhibited a negative correlation with industrial structure,but a positive correlation with total population,transportation intensity,urbanization rate,transportation structure,added value of transportation,and per capita GDP.Among all factors,added value of transportation contributed the most to the average annual growth of carbon emission in the transportation sector in Xizang.
