Abstract:In order to assess the current status of avian resources in Yani National Wetland Park, field surveys were conducted consecutively in October and December of 2024.A total of 56 avian species were recorded, belonging to 11 orders,26 families and 44 genera.Among them,Passeriformes accounted for 53.57%of the total bird species, while non-Passeriformes accounted for 46.43%of the surveyed species. The wetland park was home to 2 species of national first-class protected birds,8 species of national second-class protected birds,4 vulnerable species listed in China Red List of Species, and 4 near-threatened species.Addtionally,2 near-threatened species were included in the IUCN Red List,3 species were listed in Appendix I of CITES and 2 species in Appendix II of CITES.There were 3 Chinese endemic species and 45 species of birds with significant ecological, scientific and social value. The bird population was larger in winter(7,988 individuals)than in autumn(978 individuals),with ducks, geese and swans being the dominant species.Through the surveys of avian resources in Yani National Wetland Park, detailed data has been obtained, which is of great practical significance for the conservation of regional biodiversity and en-dangered species,as well as sustainable management of wetland ecosystem.
