Distribution Characteristics and Application of Soil Resistivity in Shannan Urban Area

Abstract：The actual measurement of soil resistivity in different seasons and locations within Shannan urban area was conducted in this paper to analyze the distribution characteristics and application of soil resistivity.The results in-dicate that temperature and humidity have significant influence on the changes in soil resistivity,with the resistivity being distinctly higher in winter than in summer,except for a few measurement points.In Shannan urban area,the soil resistivity is higher in the western,southern and eastern mountainous regions compared to the central and north-ern river regions.Soil resistivity is widely utilized in the study of cloud-to-ground lightning strikes and grounding in lightning protection engineering.
