Abstract:Objective To analyze the formulation principle and action mechanism of Tibetan medicine for the treat-ment of pediatric chronic diarrhea(Zhangchinai)through data mining and cyberpharmacology techniques. Methods 85 ancient prescriptions related to pediatric chronic diarrhea(Zhangchinai)from Collection of Tibetan Medicine Classics, were collected and organized.Software such as Microsoft Excel 2022,IBM SPSS Modeler 18.0,and Gephi 0.10 were used for analysis on the frequency, association rules and clusters of Tibetan medicine to summarize medi-cation rules and explore core combinations of Tibetan medicine.Cyberpharmacology techniques were applied to study the potential action mechanism of these core combinations for the treatment of pediatric chronic diarrhea(Zhangchinai). Results A total of 89 ancient formulas were screened, with focus on warming the stomach, dispelling cold, easing food stagnation, promoting digestion and stopping diarrhea. The most common flavors and trans-formed favors were sweet and bitter.According to the frequency of usage, associationrules and characteristics of ancient formulas in theory, the core combinations of Tibetan medicine were identified as Rhus chinensis Mill, white cardamon, pomegranate, piperis longi, nutmeg and dried ginger.Through cyberpharmacology,199 active ingredients were predicted in the core combinations of Tibetan medicine, among which quercetin, luteolin, pomegranate acid, volatile oil and piperine were main ingredients. There were 964 potential ingredient targets,1208 disease targets, and 243 intersecting targets, and PPI cyber analysis revealed that AKT1,STAT3,SRC,EGFR and CTNNB1 were the key targets.GO functional analysis identified 1024 biological processes(BP),136 cellular components(CC)and 209 mo-lecular functions(MF).KEGG pathway analysis identified 185 signaling pathways that might play a therapeutic role in pediatric chronic diarrhea(Zhangchinai)through human cytomegalovirus infection,Ras signaling pathway and flu-id shear stress. Conclusion Formulas of Tibetan medicine for treating pediatric chronic diarrhea(Zhangchinai)are characterized by being precise and tailored for children, with focus on balancing the three factors, nourishing the three gastric fires, easing food stagnation, promoting digestion and stopping diarrhea. The core combinations of Ti-betan medicine exert their effects on treating pediatric chronic diarrhea(Zhangchinai)through multiple ingredients, targets and pathways, which provide support and reference for its treatment with Tibetan medicine.
