Abstract:Objective To analyze the differences in intestinal flora among Tibetan patients with colorectal adenoma, colorectal polyps and healthy individuals. Methods High-risk local Tibetans with colorectal adenoma aged 40~75 years were selected to undergocolonoscopy at the Digestive Endoscopy Unit of Fukang Hospital Affiliated to Xizang University from January 2023 to November 2023,Participants were divided into the adenoma group, polyp group and healthy control group according to colonoscopy results.A total of 112 stool specimens were collected.DNA extraction and metagenomic sequencing of intestinal flora were carried out to conduct comparative analysis on it among groups. Results The male-to-female ratio in the polyp group and control group was 23/20 and 25/43,re-spectively.The average age of the polyp group was 50.57±6.941 years, and that of the control group was 48.46±8.561 years. There was a statistically significant difference in alcohol consumption between the two groups(P<0.05),while there were no significant differences in gender, age,BMI,diet, diabetes history and smoking status(all P>0.05).Abundance of Microbacterium,Eggerthella,Corynebacterium,Erysipelotrichaceae and Pyramidobacter was higher in the adenoma group, while that of Acidaminococcus,Pasteurellaceae and Haemophilus was higher n the polyp group. Conclusion Increased abundance of Acidaminococcus,Pasteurellaceae and Haemophilus in the intestinal flora of Tibetan residents in high-altitude areas of Xizang may indicate the risk ofadenoma colorectal polyps.adenomaIt is crucial for these individualsto prioritize colonoscopy and polyp treatment to prevent its progression to colorectal ad-enoma.
