Abstract:Objective To analyze the application value of different levels of Advanced Modeled Adaptive Statistical Iterative Reconstruction and Veo(ASIR-V)algorithm in low-dose whole-abdomen CT scanning. Methods A total of 270 patients undergoing whole-abdomen CT scanning in our hospital were prospectively collected and divided in-to 9 groups(group 1~9)by a random number method, with 30 patients in each group. In group 1~9,0%~80%ASIR-V(an interval of 10%for each group)was applied, respectively. Each group applied a 120KV-tube voltage and auto-matic tube current. All images were subjectively and objectively evaluated for image quality, and the radiation dose along with it were compared among groups. Results The effective dose(ED)decreased with the increase of ASIR-V weight, showing statistically significant differences among groups(P<0.05).The ED decreased by about 60%when the ASIR-V weight was 50%.The background image noise decreased with the increase of ASIR-V weight(p<0.05)while the signal-to-noise ratio and contrast-to-noise ratio of liver and muscle increased with the increase of ASIR-V weight, showing statistically significant differences among groups(P<0.05).There were no statistically significant differences in subjective quality scores between group 2~6 and group 1(P>0.05),while group 7~9 had lower subjective quality scores than group 1,showing statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion In the whole-abdomen CT scanning, radiation dose gradually decreased with the increase of ASIR-V weight. When the ASIR-V weight ratio was 40%~50%,the image quality became optimal and the radiation dose could be reduced by about 55%~60%,which was the ideal iterative weight level for whole-abdomen CT scanning.
