Analysis on the Characteristics and Influencing Factors of the Surface Changes in Butuo Lake from 1988 to 2024

Abstract：This study selects high-resolution multi-source satellite remote sensing data from 1988 to 2024 and meteo-rological data from 1988 to 2023 to analyze the changing trend in Butuo Lake and explore its influencing factors.The results showed that:(1)The lake area of Butuo Lake showed an overall expanding trend(R2=0.594),with a change rate of 0.20 km2/10 a.The lake area increased from 15.17 km2 to 15.99 km2,revealing an increase of 0.82 km2.(2)From 1988 to 2023,the average annual temperature showed a significant upward trend overall(R2=0.4519),with a warming rate of 0.36°C/10 a.The annual precipitation showed an upward trend(R2=0.0021),with an average increase of 3.92 mm/10 a.Since 1988,the water area of Butuo Lake has exhibited a significant moderate positive correlation with the average annual temperature,with a correlation coefficient of 0.494(P<0.01),while the correla-tion with annual precipitation was weaker.It suggests that the rising temperature may be a main reason for the ex-pansion of Butuo Lake.
