Abstract:This paper analyzes the causes of precipitation weather from 20:00 on February,21st to 20:00 on Febru-ary,23rd,2024 by using meteorological observation data such as MICAPS conventional ground data and FY4A satel-lite cloud images. The results show that:(1)On the 500hPa level, the middle and high latitudes of Europe and Asia are in a two-trough-one-ridge pattern. On the plateau, the central-eastern part of Naqu to the north of Shannan was af-fected by the plateau trough. The cold air from the northern Balkhash Lake trough converged with the southwest warm and humid airflow in the central-eastern region of our region, and the establishment of low-altitude rapids in the south was conducive to water vapor transport to the plateau.(2)When precipitation occurred, the central-eastern parts were in a significant wet area. The difference between the ground dew point temperature and the ambient tem-perature approached saturation, and the ground experienced temperature rise and pressure drop before precipitation, providing favorable water vapor conditions for the occurrence and sustenance of precipitation weather.(3)Upper-lev-el divergence and persistent sinking and ascending motions provided favorable dynamic conditions for the precipita-tion in the central-eastern region.(4)Through a comparative analysis on various model forecast fields, the EC model forecast was closer to the actual situation, demonstrating good indicative properties.
