Preliminary Study on the Feeding Habits of Larval Schizothorax Curilabiatus in the Chayu River,Xizang

Abstract：This study conducts a preliminary analysis on the intestinal contents of the specimens of 28 larval Schizo-thorax curilabiatus collected from the Chayu River.The results show that a total of 53 species(or genera)of prey or-ganisms were identified in the digestive tract contents of larval Schizothorax curilabiatus,including planktonic algae,protozoa,arthropods,and others.Among them,Bacillariophyta had the highest percentage of occurrence and quanti-ty as prey organisms.The diversity index(H')was 2.4487,the evenness index(J')was 0.6292,and the dominance in-dex(D)was 0.1257.Larval Schizothorax curilabiatus are omnivorous fish with diatoms as their primary food source.
