Abstract:Objective:To investigate the clinical effectiveness of the best evidence in nursing management of patients with zoster-associated pain(ZAP)and to provide reliable evidence-based medical support for pain management in ZAP patients. Methods:A total of 36 ZAP patients who were treated in the pain department from April to June 2024 were included as the pre-application group.A targeted change strategy was constructed by conducting an in-depth analysis from the three levels of organizers, practitioners, and patients.A total of 35 ZAP patients who were treated from September to November 2024 were selected as the post-application group. An evidence-based practice was conducted by 19 best evidence and 13 review indicators summarized by the retrieval database and professional websites. The nursing results of the two groups were compared. Results:The scores of Visual Analogue Scale(VAS),pain care management satisfaction,Short Form 36 Health Survey(SF-36),Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI),Generalized Anxiety Disorder(GAD-7),and patient health questionnaire-9(PHQ-9)of the two groups of patients were different, and the differences are statistically significant(P<0.001).The total score of pain management knowledge, the correctness rate of the total questionnaire, and the comparative difference in the implementation rate of the review indicators 3~13 of the two groups of nurses were different, and the differences are statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:Using the best evidence in pain management for ZAP patients enhances pain control, improves nursing staff's knowledge, and raises the review indicator compliance rate.
