Abstract:Objective: To investigate the current status of diaphragm dysfunction in patients with acute heart failure and analyze its influencing factors. Methods: A convenience sampling method was used to select 239 patients with acute heart failure admitted to the coronary care unit and cardiology ward of a tertiary hospital from October 2022 to February 2024. According to the results of diaphragm ultrasound, the patients were divided into two groups: the diaphragm dysfunction group (n=80) and the non-diaphragm dysfunction group (n=159). Univariate analysis and logistic regression analysis were used to identify the influencing factors of diaphragm dysfunction. Results: The incidence of diaphragm dysfunction in patients with acute heart failure was 33.47%. Logistic regression analysis showed that comorbid pulmonary infection, comorbid valvular heart disease, and the need for assisted oxygen therapy were significant risk factors for diaphragm dysfunction in patients with acute heart failure. Conclusion: The incidence of diaphragm dysfunction in patients with acute heart failure is relatively high. Clinical medical staff should carry out early screening and intervention for high-risk populations.
