Abstract:Objective:To systematically evaluate the clinical efficacy of tongue-three needle therapy combined with scalp acupuncture at the language center reflex zone in the treatment of post-stroke aphasia. Methods:Relevant randomized controlled trials(RCTs)were retrieved from PubMed,EMbase,Cochrane Library,Web of Science,CNKI,WanFang Data,CBM,and VIP.The search period was from the inception of databases to November 1,2024.Two researchers independently screened the literature, extracted data, and assessed the methodological quality of the included studies.Meta-analysis and publication bias testing were performed using RevMan 5.4 and Comprehensive Meta-Analysis V3 software. Results:A total of nine RCTs involving 595 patients.Meta-analysis results showed that the total effective rate in the experimental group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.001).The total language function score in the experimental group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.0001).The scores for spontaneous conversation, listening comprehension, repetition, naming, reading, and writing in the experimental group were significantly better than those in the control group(P<0.01).Conclusions:The existing evidence suggests that tongue-three needle therapy combined with scalp acupuncture at the language center reflex zone is an effective treatment for post-stroke aphasia, which could help improve patients'language function. However, due to the limited number and quality of included literature, further high-quality,rigorously designed, and stratified-diversified studies are needed for further verification.
