Abstract:Objective:To identify, evaluate, and summarize the best evidence for glucose management in parenteral nutrition for cancer patients, providing a reference for clinical nursing practice. Methods:Relevant literature was retrieved based on the"6S"evidence model, including guidelines, expert consensus, clinical decision support, systematic reviews, and Meta-analyses.The search covered from database inception to December 31,2024.Two researchers assessed the quality of the included literature and extracted and integrated the evidence. Results:A total of 10 articles were included, consisting of 1 clinical decision-making article,5 guideline articles,1 expert consensus article,2 evidence summaries, and 1 systematic review.Ultimately,26 pieces of evidence were summarized across 8 aspects:team building, risk factor identification, glycemic control targets, parenteral nutrition solution preparation, solution infusion, insulin dosage and administration, glycemic monitoring, and prevention and management of hypoglycemia. Conclusions:The evidence summarized for glycemic management in parenteral nutrition for cancer patients is relatively scientific and comprehensive. When applying this evidence, healthcare professionals should fully consider the actual clinical situation, the patient's condition, and nurse-patient ratios to optimize glycemic management strategies in parenteral nutrition for cancer patients.
