Abstract:Objective: To explore the effect of the IMB model combined with group interpersonal psychotherapy in patients with depression. Methods: A total of 156 patients with depression admitted to our hospital from June 2022 to June 2024 were selected as the study subjects and randomly divided into the control group and the observation group, with 78 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing care, while the observation group received nursing care based on the IMB model combined with group interpersonal psychotherapy. Before and after a 12-week intervention, the depression symptoms, self-efficacy, and quality of life of the two groups were compared. Results: After the intervention, the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAMD-17) score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the scores of the Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES) and the Quality of Life Scale (SF-36) in all dimensions were higher in the observation group than in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.001). Conclusion: The combination of the IMB model and group interpersonal psychotherapy can effectively alleviate depressive symptoms in patients with depression, improve their self-efficacy and quality of life.
