Abstract:Objective: To explore the application effect of a multidisciplinary team collaboration model based on goal management theory in the perioperative nursing of liver transplant children. Methods: A convenience sampling method was used to select 130 pediatric patients who underwent liver transplantation at the organ transplantation department of a tertiary A general hospital in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, from January 2018 to December 2021. The patients were divided into a control group (70 cases) and an observation group (60 cases) according to their admission time. The control group received routine perioperative nursing, while the observation group received nursing based on the multidisciplinary team collaboration model grounded in goal management theory. The caregivers' caregiving ability and the children's adherence to immunosuppressive drug administration were compared at the time of admission, 14 days post-operation, before discharge, and one month after discharge. Results: At the time of discharge and one month after discharge, the caregivers' caregiving ability and the children's adherence to immunosuppressive drug administration in the observation group were better than those in the control group. The repeated measures ANOVA showed that time, group differences, and interaction effects were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion: The multidisciplinary team collaboration model based on goal management theory can effectively improve the caregiving ability of caregivers of liver transplant children and the children's adherence to immunosuppressive drug administration. It provides an effective management strategy and practical experience for clinical nursing and long-term follow-up of pediatric liver transplantation.
