Effectiveness of pulmonary rehabilitation for interstitial lung disease:an overview of systematic reviews

Abstract:Objective:To evaluate of systematic reviews/Meta-analysis on the effectiveness of pulmonary rehabilitation for interstitial lung disease(ILD).Methods:Systematic review/Meta-analysis on the effectiveness of pulmonary rehabilitation for ILD were retrieved from domestic and international databases.The search time was from the inception to October 22,2024.Literature screening was independently carried out by two researchers.The methodological quality of eligible studies was appraised based on AMSTAR 2,and the evidence synthesis and grading were evaluated by the GRADE system.Results:A total of 21 articles were included.The results of AMSTAR 2 showed that 7 studies were high quality,1 study was medium quality,and 13 studies were of low or very low quality.Results of GRADE showed that among the 63 evidences for 7 outcome indicators,1 was of high quality,13 were of medium quality,31 were of low quality,and 17 were of very low quality.Conclusion:Current evidence shows that pulmonary rehabilitation can enhance the exercise capacity,quality of life,dyspnea symptoms and lung function in patients with ILD.However,its impactes on fatigue,symptoms of anxiety and depression,as well as SpO2 still require verification.
