Abstract:Objective: This study aims to construct an indicator system for the information technology teaching competence of medical professional teachers, providing a tool for evaluating their information technology teaching abilities. Methods: Through literature review and semi-structured interviews, an initial draft of the indicator system was developed, consisting of 4 first-level indicators, 10 second-level indicators, and 39 third-level indicators. From November to December 2024, two rounds of Delphi method were used to establish the evaluation indicator system for the information technology teaching competence of medical professional teachers. The first round focused on optimizing the structure and expression of the indicators, while the second round refined the evaluation criteria and determined the weights using the analytic hierarchy process (AHP). Data analysis was conducted using SPSS 25.0 and Yaahp 10.0. Results: The response rates of experts in both rounds of consultation were 100%, with expert authority coefficients of 0.918 and 0.932, respectively. Kendall's coefficient of concordance was 0.310 and 0.332 (P < 0.001 for both). The final constructed indicator system includes 4 first-level indicators: information technology teaching awareness, information technology teaching knowledge, information technology teaching implementation, and information technology teaching research; 10 second-level indicators; and 37 third-level indicators. Conclusion: The constructed indicator system for the information technology teaching competence of medical professional teachers is scientific and reliable. This system can not only serve as an evaluation tool for the information technology teaching competence of medical professional teachers but also provide references for the design of teacher training courses and the development of performance evaluation standards.
