Abstract:Objective: To analyze the current status, research hotspots, and future development trends of nuclear medicine nursing at home and abroad, providing reference for nursing professionals in nuclear medicine to carry out related research. Methods: A systematic retrieval of relevant literature on nuclear medicine nursing from CNKI and Web of Science Core Collection was conducted, with a time range from the establishment of the database to September 1, 2024. CiteSpace 6.3 R1 software was used for statistical analysis. Results: A total of 1,964 papers related to nuclear medicine nursing were included, including 281 Chinese papers and 1,683 English papers. The number of publications on nuclear medicine nursing has shown an annual upward trend both domestically and internationally. The main research hotspots involve occupational exposure and radiation protection in nuclear medicine, enhancement of core competencies of nuclear medicine nurses, and the application of information technology and intelligent methods to improve examination quality. Conclusion: The overall trend of nuclear medicine nursing research is increasing both domestically and internationally, with rapid development abroad and relatively slow development in China. It is recommended to conduct research on different types and themes such as radiation protection, iodine-131 treatment, and positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) examinations. Strengthening cooperation and exchange between countries and institutions will be the focus of attention for nursing professionals in the future.
