Abstract:Objective: To investigate the current status of health-promoting behaviors in patients with intestinal stoma and explore its influencing factors, providing a reference for clinical construction of targeted health promotion strategies. Methods: A convenience sampling method was used to select 284 patients with colorectal cancer stoma who visited the stoma outpatient clinic of Tianjin People's Hospital. Data were collected using a general information questionnaire, the Health-Promoting Lifestyle Profile II (HPLP-II), the Perceived Psychological Maturity Scale, and the Social Support Rating Scale. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors of health-promoting behaviors in patients with intestinal stoma. Results: The total score of HPLP-II in patients with colorectal cancer stoma was (124.42±16.85). Health-promoting behaviors were positively correlated with social support and perceived psychological maturity (P<0.01). The multiple linear regression analysis results showed that the presence or absence of stoma complications, ability to self-care for the stoma, daily stoma care time, family monthly income, social support, and perceived psychological maturity could influence the health-promoting behaviors of patients with intestinal stoma, explaining 53.7% of the total variance. Conclusion: The health-promoting behaviors of patients with intestinal stoma are at an average level and are influenced by multiple factors. Medical staff should pay attention to the support status and emotional experience of patients, strengthen external support, build rich support resources, enhance positive experiences, reinforce the belief in disease recovery, help patients adapt to changes, and encourage them to actively obtain a healthy lifestyle, thereby improving their level of health-promoting behaviors.
