Abstract:Objective: To investigate the current status of anticipatory grief in middle-aged and young patients with first-time acute myocardial infarction and analyze its influencing factors, providing a reference for the development of clinical nursing intervention plans. Methods: A convenience sampling method was used to select 210 middle-aged and young patients with first-time acute myocardial infarction who were hospitalized in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at the General Hospital of Ningxia Medical University from November 2023 to March 2024. Data were collected using a general information questionnaire, the Anticipatory Grief Scale, the Medical Coping Modes Questionnaire, the Psychological Resilience Scale, and the Chinese Version of the Self-Transcendence Scale. Results: The score on the Anticipatory Grief Scale for middle-aged and young patients with first-time acute myocardial infarction was (28.45±11.43). Multiple linear regression analysis showed that smoking status, drinking status, avoidance coping, psychological resilience, and self-transcendence level were significant influencing factors of anticipatory grief in these patients (P<0.05). Conclusion: In clinical practice, it is important to emphasize health education and psychological counseling regarding lifestyle factors such as smoking and drinking in middle-aged and young patients with first-time acute myocardial infarction, enhance their psychological resilience and self-transcendence levels, and avoid avoidance coping strategies to reduce their anticipatory grief levels and promote disease prognosis.
