Abstract:Objective: To conduct a scoping review of the current status of frailty and its risk factors in patients with chronic heart failure (CHF) both domestically and internationally, providing a reference basis for intervention research on frailty in CHF patients in China. Methods: A systematic search was conducted in databases including CNKI, Wanfang, VIP, CBM, PubMed, EMBASE, Web of Science, CINAHL, and Cochrane Library for studies on the current status of frailty and its risk factors in CHF patients, with the search period ranging from the establishment of the database to March 6, 2025. The included literature was extracted, analyzed, and summarized according to the reporting guidelines for scoping reviews. Results: A total of 25 articles were included, with the prevalence of frailty among CHF patients ranging from 21.3% to 71.3%. Risk factors for frailty in CHF patients include sociodemographic factors, physical health factors, disease-related factors, and psychosocial factors. Conclusion: The prevalence of frailty in CHF patients is relatively high both domestically and internationally, and the risk factors are complex and variable. This highlights the need for future multi-center, large-sample longitudinal studies to explore the influencing factors of frailty, clarify their relationships, and conduct effective intervention studies to reverse or delay the frailty state of patients and reduce the incidence of frailty.
