Qualitative study on the experience of in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer treatment in infertile women:a Meta-integration

Abstract:Objective:To systematically review the psychological experiences of infertile women during in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer(IVF-ET)treatment,clarify their needs,and provide a basis for developing precision nursing interventions in the future.Methods:Qualitative research on the IVF-ET treatment experience of infertile women were retrieved from domestic and foreign databases.The retrieval deadline was from the establishment of each database until December 2024.The qualitative research quality evaluation criteria of the Joanna Briggs Institute(JBI)Evidence-Based Healthcare Center in Australia were adopted to assess the quality of literature,and the aggregation and integration method was used to comprehensively analyze the research results.Results:A total of 14 articles were included.And 51 research results were extracted and classified into 9 categories,merged into 3 integrated results:psychological and social adaptation and support needs,dual pressure of economic and reproductive expectations,treatment experience and personal growth.Conclusion:Existing evidence suggests that healthcare professionals should pay full attention to the psychological experiences and information needs of infertile women during IVF-ET treatment,provide personalized psychological support and nursing interventions to improve their quality of life and mental health.
