Influencing factors of fear of cancer recurrence in patients with bladder cancer:a scoping review

Abstract:Objective:To conduct a scoping review of the influencing factors of fear of cancer recurrence(FCR)in patients with bladder cancer,and provide a scientific basis for medical staff to develop targeted management plans for FCR.Methods:Literature related to the influencing factors of FCR in patients with bladder cancer was retrieved from databases in Chinese and English from the inception of the database to August 30,2024.Two researchers extracted data and summarized the literature according to the inclusion criteria.Results:A total of 11 articles were included,including 10 in Chinese and 1 in English.The influencing factors of FCR in patients with bladder cancer include sociodemographic factors,physiological factors,psychological factors,and disease-related factors.Conclusions:There are 4 categories of influencing factors of FCR in patients with bladder cancer and changed dynamically.Future studies could explore specific assessment tools for FCR,gradually improve the identification of influencing factors of FCR,explore the precise influencing factors of FCR,and reduce the FCR in patients with bladder cancer.
