Abstract:Objective:To conduct a scoping review of the factors affecting economic toxicity in patients with gynecological malignancies, and to provide a scientific basis for the development of targeted intervention measures. Methods:The scoping review methodology was used as the guiding framework.Literature on the factors affecting economic toxicity in patients with gynecological malignancies was systematically retrieved from five English databases(EMbase,PubMed,Cochrane Library,Web of Science, and CINAHL)and four Chinese databases(CNKI,WanFang Data,VIP,and CBM).The search period was from the inception of the database to March 22,2024.Results:A total of 16 articles were included, including 15 in English and 1 in Chinese. The main influencing factors of economic toxicity in patients with cervical cancer, ovarian cancer, and endometrial cancer included five aspects:sociodemographic factors, disease factors, medical cost factors(direct costs, indirect costs, and additional costs),medical insurance factors, and other factors. Conclusions:The economic toxicity of patients with gynecological malignancies is affected by many factors.Analyzing the influencing factors is helpful to identify high-risk groups. In the future,we can further explore the controversial factors affecting the economic toxicity of patients with gynecological malignancies to provide a theoretical basis for the formulation of economic toxicity intervention measures.
