Abstract:Objective: To construct a quality sensitive indicator system for the management of wet packages in pressure steam sterilization and apply it. Methods: Based on the theoretical framework of 'structure-process-outcome', the nursing quality sensitive indicator system was constructed through literature review and the Delphi expert consultation method, and was applied from September 2023 to March 2024. Results: The questionnaire recovery rates of the two rounds of Delphi expert consultation were both 100%, with expert authority coefficients of 0.905 and 0.925, and Kendall's coefficient of concordance of 0.159 and 0.161, respectively, all P < 0.001. The final quality sensitive indicator system for the management of wet packages in pressure steam sterilization includes three first-level indicators, nine second-level indicators, and twenty-two third-level indicators. After application, the occurrence rate of wet packages in pressure steam sterilization decreased from 2.70% to 0.15%, and the loss rate decreased from 3.17% to 0.44%, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.001). Conclusion: The quality sensitive indicator system for the management of wet packages in pressure steam sterilization constructed in this study has high professionalism, scientificity, and reliability, and can serve as an evaluation tool for the quality of wet package management.
