Concept analysis of delay in seeking medical attention in patients with acute coronary syndrome

Abstract:Objective:To analyze the concept of delay in seeking medical attention in patients with acute coronary syndrome(ACS).Methods:Articles were retrieved related to delayed medical treatment among ACS patients from databases including CNKI,WanFang Data,Web of Science,and PubMed from the database inception date to November 30,2024.The included literature was analyzed using the Rodgers evolutionary concept analysis method.Results:A total of 59 articles were included.Four predisposing factors for the delayed medical treatment of ACS patients were summarized,namely sociodemographic factors,personality traits and psychological factors,lack of disease-related knowledge,onset environment and time factors,as well as four attributes,namely decision-making delay,transfer delay,in-hospital delay,and poor prognosis.Conclusion:A conceptual analysis of the delay in seeking medical treatment for ACS patients is conducive to conducting in-depth research based on a unified standard in the future and promoting the development of research in this field.
