Abstract:Objective:To systematically evaluate the effect of different bed rest times on the incidence of headache and lower back pain in patients after lumbar puncture surgery. Methods:the literature on the influence of bed rest durations on the incidence of headache and low back pain in patients after lumbar puncture was retrieved from PubMed,EMbase,Cochrane Library,Web of Science,Scopus,CNKI,CBM,WanFang Data and VIP.The search period was from the establishment of the database to October 31,2024.Two researchers independently screened the literature and evaluated the quality.Stata 16.0 software was used to conduct network Meta-analysis on the extracted data. Results:A total of 9 articles were included. The results of the reticular Meta-analysis showed that in terms of reducing the incidence of headache in patients after lumbar puncture, there was no statistically significant difference in different bed rest durations(P>0.05).In terms of reducing the incidence of low back pain, bed rest for 0 h,0.5 h,and 2 h was significantly better than bed rest for 6 h,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The cumulative ranking probability results show that bed rest for 6 hours has the best intervention effect in reducing headache in patients after lumbar puncture, followed by bed rest for 0.5 hours.Bed rest for 0 hours has the best intervention effect on low back pain in patients after lumbar puncture. Conclusions:The existing evidence indicates that 6 hours of bed rest for patients after lumbar puncture was the optimal bed rest time to reduce the incidence of headache, and 0 hours of bed rest was the optimal bed rest time to reduce the incidence of low back. However, more high-quality and multi-center studies are still needed in the future to verify and supplement the evidence.
