Effects of psychological care on negative emotions and sleep quality of patients with polycystic ovary syndrome:a Meta-analysis

Abstract：Objective:To systematically evaluate the therapeutic effect of psychological nursing on negative emotions,sleep quality,and clinical metabolic indicators in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome,and provide reference for the clinical application of psychological intervention.Methods:RCTs on the application effect of psychological nursing in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome were retrieved from CNKI,VIP,WanFang Data,CBM,PubMed,Web of Science,Cochrane Library,and EMbase.The retrieval deadline was from the establishment of the database to March 10,2025.Two researchers independently completed literature screening and data extraction.RevMan 5.4 software was used to integrate and analyze data.Results:A total of 15 articles were included.Meta-analysis results showed that compared with the control group,the experimental group could reduce patients'SAS score(MD=-6.59,95%CI-7.21--5.98,P<0.000 01),SDS score(MD=-6.01,95%CI-6.53--5.49,P<0.000 01),PSQI score(MD=-3.89,95%CI-4.54--3.23,P<0.000 01),testosterone level(MD=-1.20,95%CI-1.27--1.13,P<0.000 01),luteinizing hormone level(MD=-6.90,95%CI-7.45--6.36,P<0.000 01),fasting insulin level(MD=-5.93,95%CI-6.92--4.95,P<0.000 01),triglycerides level(MD=-0.50,95%CI-0.65--0.36,P<0.000 01),BMI(MD=-3.89,95%CI-4.37--3.40,P<0.000 01),FSH level(MD=-0.73,95%CI-0.82--0.64,P<0.000 01),and the differences were statistically significant.Conclusions:Existing evidence suggests that psychological care can improve negative emotions,sleep quality,and clinical metabolic indicators in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome.
