Abstract:Objective: To investigate the current status of knowledge, attitude, and practice (KAP) of nurses in the maintenance of implantable venous ports within a county medical consortium, and to analyze the influencing factors. Methods: A stratified random sampling method was used to select 432 nurses from the county medical consortium as the study subjects. General information questionnaires and clinical nurse KAP questionnaires for the maintenance of implantable venous ports were used as research tools. Single-factor analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple linear regression analysis were conducted to explore the influencing factors of nurses' KAP in the maintenance of implantable venous ports. Results: The total score of nurses' maintenance of implantable venous ports was (155.84±49.88), with scores for knowledge, attitude, and practice being (14.33±7.19), (73.69±22.66), and (67.82±23.80), respectively. Pearson correlation analysis showed that the scores of knowledge, attitude, and practice dimensions were positively correlated (P<0.05). Multiple linear regression analysis showed that work experience, highest education level, professional title, hospital level, employment type, and whether or not they had received training in the maintenance of implantable venous ports were influencing factors of nurses' KAP in the maintenance of implantable venous ports (P<0.05). Conclusion: Hospital managers should pay attention to the training of nurses in the maintenance of implantable venous ports within the medical consortium, improve the KAP level of nurses in the maintenance of implantable venous ports, and enhance the overall quality of nursing services in the county medical consortium.
