Abstract:Objective:To develop an electronic health(eHealth)literacy scale for patients with coronary heart disease(CHD)and conduct reliability and validity tests,to provide a basis for clinical medical staff to evaluate the eHealth literacy of patients with CHD.Methods:The scale was constructed through literature review, theoretical analysis,semi-structured interviews, the Delphi method, and a pre-survey.A total of 315 CHD patients admitted to the cardiology department of a tertiary grade A hospital in Hubei province from March to September 2024 were conveniently selected for investigation to test the reliability and validity of the scale. Results:The eHealth literacy scale for CHD patients includes four dimensions:functional eHealth literacy(6 items),evaluative eHealth literacy(6 items),interactive eHealth literacy(4 items),and transformative eHealth literacy(6 items),with a total of 22 items. The Cronbach's α coefficients of the four dimensions were 0.915,0.890,0.819,and 0.896,respectively.The content validity at the scale level(S-CVI)was 0.875,and the content validity at the item level(I-CVI)was 0.882-1.000.The correlation analysis results of each dimension showed that the r value was 0.448-0.547,all P<0.01.Exploratory factor analysis extracted 4 common factors with a total explanatory power of 67.892%.The confirmatory factor analysis results showed that the fitting indicators all met the standards, and the model fit was good. Conclusions:The eHealth literacy scale for CHD patients has good reliability and validity, which could be used to evaluate the eHealth literacy of CHD patients.
