Abstract:Objective:To systematically evaluate the effectiveness of a motivational interviewing intervention to influence self-care in heart failure patients. Methods:Search for randomized controlled trials on the effect of motivational interviewing on self-care in heart failure patients in CNKI,WanFang Data,CBM,Cochrane library,PubMed,EMbase,Web of Science,CINAHL.The retrieval limit was from inception to September,2024.Totally 2 trained researchers independently conducted literature screening, extraction, and synthesis as well as analysis, and RevMan 5.4 was used for Meta-analysis.Results:A total of 12 articles were included, involving a total of 937 patients.Motivational interview interventions could enhance patients'self-care abilities and adherence to drug therapy, and reduced rehospitalization rates. Conclusion:Available evidence suggests that motivational interviewing could enhance the self-care of patients with heart failure. In future motivational interview studies, further design of high-quality,multicentre and long-term follow-up clinical studies is needed to ensure the best evidence for patient self-care practice.
