Abstract:Objective:To systematically evaluate the intervention effect of dietary fiber on glycemic control in patients with gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM)and provide a basis for dietary guidance for GDM patients. Methods:Randomized controlled trials(RCTs)on dietary fiber intervention in GDM patients were retrieved from CNKI,VIP,WanFang Data,CBM,PubMed,Cochrane Library,Web of Science, and EMbase from the establishment of the database to August 31,2023.Two researchers independently screened the literature, evaluated the quality, and extracted data according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria.Meta-analysis was performed using RevMan 5.2 software. Results:A total of 12 articles were included, involving 1 402 patients.Meta-analysis results showed that dietary fiber can improve fasting blood glucose,2 articles postprandial blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin,cholesterol,triglycerides,high-density lipoprotein, and low-density lipoprotein, but has no effect on weight gain during pregnancy. Conclusions:Existing evidence shows that dietary fiber intake can help improve blood glucose levels and blood lipids in GDM patients;thought its relationship with weight gain during pregnancy has not yet been determined.and requires further large-sample studies.
