Summary of the best evidence for preoperative pulmonary rehabilitation management in elderly lung cancer patients

Abstract:Objective:To search,evaluate,and integrate evidence on preoperative pulmonary rehabilitation management for elderly lung cancer patients.Methods:A systematic search was conducted for relevant evidence on the management of preoperative pulmonary rehabilitation in elderly lung cancer patients in relevant association websites,guideline websites,and Chinese and English databases,with a timeframe from the establishment of the database to March 3,2024,for the search.The acquired literature was evaluated for quality,screened for valid evidence based on professional judgment,and systematically summarized and integrated.Results:A total of 12 articles were finally included,and a total of 20 pieces of best evidence were summarized for 8 topics:pulmonary rehabilitation instructional team,pre-pulmonary rehabilitation assessment,location of pulmonary rehabilitation,duration of pulmonary rehabilitation,exercise training,health education,health behavior change,and quality control.Conclusion:This study integrates the evidence related to preoperative pulmonary rehabilitation management in elderly lung cancer patients,providing offers evidence-based support for clinical staff to optimize practice,improve intervention effectiveness,and enhance scientific rigor and practicality.
