Abstract:Objective:To systematically retrieve high-quality evidence-based resources on nutrition management for ostomy patients to provide an evidence-based basis for clinical practice. Methods:We searched several databases of evidence related to nutrition management for ostomy patients with colorectal cancer, including clinical decisions, expert consensus, guidelines, systematic reviews, and evidence summaries. The search time limit was from January 1,2014 to April 1,2024.Two researchers who have undergone systematic evidence-based knowledge training independently conducted literature screening, quality evaluation, evidence extraction, and summary based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results:A total of 21 articles were included, including 1 clinical decision,10 guidelines,6 evidence summaries,2 expert consensuses,1 position statement, and 1 group standard. Finally 13 recommendations were summarized in 4 areas:nutrition screening and assessment, nutritional support, nutritional education and guidance, and nutritional follow-up.Conclusions:This study systematically summarized and formed a nutritional management program for ostomy patients with colorectal cancer, which provides evidence-based support for medical staff and caregivers in the nutritional management of ostomy patients with colorectal cancer. The evidence application should be combined with clinical conditions and home care scenarios to meet the nutritional needs and improve their quality of life and prognosis.
